Our fifth annual running of Minis at Goodwood took place on Sunday 25th August 2025 and Goodwood Motor Circuit looked resplendent in its livery all ready for the Goodwood Revival which took place just two weeks later.
The paddocks were once again packed full of Minis and rang to the tune of A-Series, Tritec, Prince and even more modern engines, with Minis ranging from very early classics right through to the latest 2024 J01 MINI Cooper SE fully electric Mini.
The sun shone with only one very short rain shower interrupting proceedings, and once again the Mini community came together to raise a fantastic £7,065.36 for children’s charity Buttle UK.
This took the total raised for Buttle UK since Minis at Goodwood started in 2019 to £36,001.16.
The navigational route had to be reworked at the last minute due to a road closure in South Harting, however the firm favourite B2141 aka ‘Harting Hill’ was still included.
At the end of the day our now customary group photo took on a poignant meaning when we placed Desmond Lavery’s red Mini RSP on the front row in tribute to Roger Hunt who passed away in 2024. Roger was the Mini Cooper Registrar for the RSP, a long time supporter of the Italian Job charity events with his wife Von, and also attended the first Minis at Goodwood in 2019. This one was for you Rog’.
As ever, the feedback on the day was fantastic, and I’m always humbled so many people enjoy this little event that I put on. Of course it couldn’t be done without the help of a number of my very dear friends, you know who you are, thank you everyone.
Minis at Goodwood will return in 2025 for Jon’s last event as organiser. The date for your diaries is Sunday 24th August 2025.
